During individual sessions you can expect to focus on your needs and together we will develop treatment goals to work towards. I will seek to meet you where you are and provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment for growth and change. My approach varies based on individual needs and preferences whether it be skills-based talk therapy, the use of an expressive modality such as art therapy, or a combination of the two.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has been proven helpful to treat those who experience difficulty with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, as well as personality disorders. DBT teaches you to tolerate distress, regulate emotions, communicate effectively with others, be mindful, and live in the present moment.
